Bayrischzell (once location to many German “Heimat” films) lies at a height of 800 m in the Bavarian Alps. The incomparably beautiful location of Bayrischzell, set in virgin countryside, far from hectic and noise is at the foot of the 1838m high Wendelstein Mountain. This itself imposes upon the views of Bayrischzell but with approx. 1420 hours of sun per year and only a few cloudy days makes it an ideals health resort or destination for summer and winter holidays. Any, whether sun worshipper or activity holidaymaker has endless possibilities at their disposal.  Village life still has many living customs and traditions. The central position of Bayrischzell makes it possible that many sight seeing attractions and other destinations in the near vicinity are reached quickly and without problems. The many lakes such as the Schliersee, the Tegernsee and the Chiemsee are well worth a visit. Kufstein in Tirol is only 25 km away. Kitzbühel is also only a short distance away.  The castle of King Ludwig II is less than an hour away by car. Munich is also easily reached by train or car in approximately one hour.
